Lahore (92 News) – It has been 30 years since the great poet Habib Jalib, who raised his voice against the capitalist, feudal and socio-economic system, left his fans. Jalib wrote against dictatorship throughout his life.
Born in nineteen twenty-seven, revolutionary poet Habib Jalib came to Pakistan after India was partitioned in nineteen forty-seven. Jalib had to serve his sentence in prison several times.
He used to attract people’s attention because of his native style. He used to raise his voice boldly against the capitalist, feudal and socio-economic system. His poems Dastur and Mushir are as popular today as they were in his time.
Habib Jalib’s revolutionary poetry had an impact on his own life as well, he refused to take even a single rupee from the then Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto because of his illness.
Habib Jalib, who ruled the hearts of the people with his progressive poetry, reached its consummation today in the ninety-three sutras of Habib Jalib.
