Late on Saturday night, an unknown thief broke the shutter of Kali temple located in Sadar Bazaar of Cantt police station and took away the donation box. The next day when the devotees reached the temple to worship, the door was found broken and the donation box was also missing. Following the information, Cantt police station reached the spot and when the CCTV footage installed nearby was reviewed, a person was seen carrying stolen goods. Police have now started searching for the unknown thief on the basis of CCTV footage.

According to the information, the priest closed the doors of the temple like every day on Saturday night and went home. When devotees and priests reached the temple on Sunday morning, the shutter was broken. When I went inside, I saw that the donation box was also missing. The priest informed the temple members. Along with this, Cantt Police Station was also called to the scene. When the police scanned the images around the temple, a person was seen coming towards the temple. And then when the same person was going back, a donation box was also seen in his hand.

There is much anger among devotees after the theft in the temple.
Sadar temple in Kali is very old hence the devotees have a lot of faith here. In such a situation, when theft took place in the temple, the anger of the local people erupted on the police patrolling. Regional people say that if the police had patrolled every now and then, the thieves would not have been so bold as to break open the shutters of the temple and steal the donation box kept in it. At the moment, the police have started searching for the thief based on the videos.
