Islamabad: The price of ghee sold under the Prime Minister’s package in public convenience stores has been increased by Rs 115 per kg.

The price of subsidized ghee in utility stores has been increased from Rs 375 to Rs 490. According to the Prime Minister’s package, the price of ghee has been increased for the second time in two months. Earlier on January 1, 2023, the price of koghi was increased by Rs 75 per kg. Ghee has become expensive by Rs 190 within two months.

Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) beneficiaries will be exempted from the hike in ghee prices and for them the price of ghee will remain at Rs 300 per kg.
