Air strikes of the Arab coalition on military targets in Sana’a

Yemen: The Arab coalition announced, at dawn on Friday, the implementation of air strikes on military targets in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, which has been under the control of the Houthis for nearly seven years.
This came in a statement issued by the Arab Coalition, published by the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The coalition stated that it “carried out air strikes on legitimate military targets in Sanaa,” without mentioning it.
“We have taken preventive measures to spare civilians and civilian objects from collateral damage,” he added.
He pointed out that “the operation is in line with international humanitarian law and its customary rules,” without further details.
There was no immediate comment from the Houthis on this statement.
During the past days, the coalition intensified its air strikes against Houthi-controlled sites in Sana’a.
Yemen has been witnessing for nearly 7 years a continuous war between the pro-government forces backed by an Arab military alliance led by the neighboring Saudi Arabia, and the Iranian-backed Houthis, who have controlled several governorates, including the capital, Sanaa, since September 2014.
