All CNG stations in Sindh and Balochistan will be closed for 24 hours from Sunday

CNG stations in Sindh and Balochistan will be closed for one day.

Sui Southern Gas Company has announced to cut off gas supply to all CNG stations in Sindh and Balochistan for 24 hours from 8:00 am on Sunday, November 28 to 8:00 am on Monday, November 29.

On the other hand, with the onset of cold weather, gas load shedding has also increased across the country.

The gas crisis has not abated in different cities of the country. Somewhere gas is missing and somewhere there are complaints of reduction in pressure.

Low gas pressure and load shedding are increasing in the provincial capital Peshawar and other districts of the province.

Expressing anger over the issue of low gas pressure and load shedding in other districts including Peshawar, the Chief Minister has summoned GM, SNGPL to his office.

Chief Minister Mehmood Khan said that gas load shedding and low pressure in the province and especially in Peshawar would not be tolerated under any circumstances.

The Chief Minister directed that the problem of low pressure and load shedding of gas faced by the domestic consumers should be resolved at the earliest and a report should be submitted in the next 48 hours with significant improvement in the situation.

Mahmood Khan said that there would be no compromise on uninterrupted supply of gas to the domestic consumers of the province this winter and plans for improvement of gas supply system in the province should be completed as soon as possible.

SNGPL officials assured the Chief Minister that the problem of low gas pressure in Peshawar and other districts would be resolved on priority basis and significant improvements would be made in the gas supply system in the next two days.

Authorities say large-diameter pipes are being laid in areas where low-pressure gas is a problem, and a control room has been set up to deal with consumers’ complaints about low-pressure gas.
