ISLAMABAD: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has approved the introduction of additional unit charges for electricity consumers.

Further increase in the tax on petroleum products

Nepra has approved a surcharge of Rs 3.39 paisa per unit on electricity consumers, the surcharge will be collected from the public between March and June 2023.

The inflation rate was 41.07 percent

In this regard, Nepra has made it clear that the surcharge will be reduced to one rupee 43 paise in the next financial year, Nepra has issued a decision on the request of the federal government.

Increase in LPG price by Rs.12. per kg

In this regard, Hum News with reference to Nepra has mentioned that the surcharge will be applied to the electricity consumers.
