The famous American technology company Apple will soon establish a new factory in the Indian state of Karnataka.
According to the news agency report, the Indian government has confirmed that Apple has been given 300 hectares of land in Karnataka to set up a manufacturing facility.
Earlier, Bloomberg reported that Apple’s partner technology group in India FOXCONN has planned to invest 700 million dollars in the state.
According to the government, the establishment of the manufacturing facility will create at least 100,000 jobs over the next 10 years.
Currently, the iPhone is assembled by three Apple suppliers in India.
Apple has been trying to set up its factories in India since the strict restrictions imposed by the government in China during the outbreak of the coronavirus.
