Approval to abolish 45% regulatory duty on import of chickpeas from Afghanistan

The Economic Co-ordination Council (ECC) has approved the abolition of 45% regulatory duty on the import of chickpeas from Afghanistan.

A meeting of the ECC was held under the chairmanship of Finance Minister Shaukat Tareen in which the ECC allowed the export of selected items in Afghanistan in Pakistani currency.

According to the statement, the items to be exported will include sugar, rice, fish and meat. The items to be exported include fruits, vegetables, cement, salt and dried fruits.
