Aurangabad : Arjun Khotkar, who had a speech with Chief Minister Eknath Shinde likening rebel MLAs to rats, was on Monday seen mediating between Chief Minister Shinde and Union Railway Minister Rao Sahib Danve. Their coming together means that they have joined the Shinde group. Khotkar also did not clearly state that he had gone to the Shinde group. However, it is pointed out that Khotkar was forced to do it because of the ED’s action.

Khotkar was held responsible by the Enforcement Directorate for malpractice in the sale of the Arjun Cooperative Sugar Factory. Khotkar, who was elected as MLA four times, was recently given the post of deputy leader by the Shiv Sena. Arjun Khotkar had a great influence on the cooperative sector in Jalnia. He dominated the Jalna Bazar Committee for the last 14 years. In the previous financial years, the turnover of this market committee was between 700 to 800 crores. He was the director of Arjun Cooperative Sugar Factory.

Alleged that the leaders had planned to grab 54 cooperative sugar factories in the state at a low price. Manik Jadhav did. Anna Hazare and Jadhav further complained about these allegations at the Ramabai Ambedkar Nagar police station in Mumbai. In this complaint, the malpractice in Arjun Cooperative Sugar Factory was also pointed out. Later, the investigation by the Financial Crimes Branch was taken over by the Enforcement Directorate. A notice was also issued to Arjun Khotkar in this matter. The details of this misuse were made public by BJP’s Krit Soumya by repeatedly holding press meetings. The decision to sell the factory was made as it could not repay a loan of Rs 33 crore from the State Cooperative Bank. The reserve price of the factory at the time of sale was Rs 42.18 crore. Tapadia Construction Company acquired the factory and further sold it to Arjun Sugar Industries. Padmakar Mole and Jagalkshwar Tapadia were also questioned by ‘ED’ in this transaction. When the price of the factory was 783.8 million, the price was reduced and the factory was bought. Arjun Khotkar is alleged to have provided financial assistance to Tapadia Construction Company while buying the factory. Rumors started that Arjun Khotkar, who was caught in the investigation cycle of the Enforcement Directorate, would join the Shinde group. However, Khotkar put an end to this debate. Criticizing the rebel MLA at Aditya Thackeray’s Shiv Samwad Mela, he said, ‘People are like mice in a house.’ Shivsinks also reacted after calling the rebel MLA a rat. He also suggested getting a cat. Khotkar had criticized the rebel MLA and said that should I discuss it? After that the very next day Khotkar hit the headlines due to the events in Delhi.

After 2014, the political conflict between Arjun Khotkar and Rao Sahib Danve continued. Salud MLA and former minister Abdul Sattar also supported these political struggles. It was said that Arjun Khotkar should contest the Lok Sabha elections against Rao Sahib Danve. Khotkar, who will be elected from the Jalna assembly constituency, was the Minister of State for Animal Husbandry in the Shiv Sena-BJP coalition government. During this time, he admired BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Khotkar were friendly. However, in view of the political conflict between Rao Sahib Danve and Khotkar, it was deemed necessary to reconcile the two leaders before inducting them into the Shinde group. Monday was such a relief. Minister of State for Railways Danve also confirmed Diljumai’s report. However, whether Khotkar joined the Shinde Group or not was not officially announced till Monday afternoon.

NCP leaders also held talks.

New Delhi: With the resignation of the Maha Vikas Aghadi government in the state, members of the alliance’s coalition parties have started pointing towards the Shinde group or the BJP. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde was in Delhi till Monday afternoon. In this meeting, former Shiv Sena MLA Arjun Khotkar met Shinde and it became clear that he was determined to defeat the Shiv Sena.

Not only Shinde, but Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis was also met by NCP MLA Babin Rao Shinde and former Solapur district MLA Rajan Patil. The Sena also intends to impose on both the Congress leaders. .

Aggressive Shiv Senaks like former Shiv Sena MLA Arjun Khotkar from Jalna district have decided to join Shinde’s faction. In this too BJP leader, Union Minister and Member of Parliament from Jalna Rao Sahib Danve took Khotakras to Shinde and it was seen that BJP leaders directly participated in defeating Shiv Sena. When Khotkar met Shinde, Denvin was accompanied by Shinde Group MPs Rahul Shivale, Drisheel Mane, Parthaprao Jadhav, Hemant Patil, Kirpal Tamane, Sadabhav Lokhande. Chief Minister Shinde was in Delhi on Monday to attend the swearing-in ceremony of President Draupadi Murmu. After the event, Shinde and Fadnavis met the leaders.

Another argument: Rival candidate Kailas Gurantyal complained that Arjun Khotkar was given more time by the election decision authorities even after the deadline for filing nomination papers in the assembly elections. The High Court accepted the allegations and disqualified Khotkar as a member of the legislature. Khotkar has been elected thrice against Gurantyal in Jalna Assembly Constituency. He became MLA for the first time in 1990. He had once contested the election from Ghansawangi Constituency.
