Chief of General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Baqeri has arrived at the Naval Headquarters in Islamabad.
According to Pakistan Navy spokesman, on arrival at the Naval Headquarters, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi received the distinguished guest.
The Guard of Honor was presented to the distinguished guest in the traditional manner and he was introduced to the Principal Staff Officers at the Naval Headquarters.
The spokesman said that during this time, the Chief of General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces met with the Chief of Naval Staff. In which professional matters of mutual interest and promotion of bilateral maritime cooperation were discussed.
The Naval Chief and the distinguished guest also discussed the maritime security situation in the region. The Pakistan Navy spokesman said that the visit of the Chief of General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces would further enhance the relations between the two countries.

Yesterday, Prime Minister Imran Khan had a special meeting with Iranian Chief of General Staff Major General Mohammad Baqeri, in which he described the Pak-Iran border as a border of peace and friendship and said that the establishment of border markets would create employment opportunities. ۔
During the talks, Prime Minister Imran Khan called for increasing trade in various sectors, including the economy and energy.
He said that opening of two additional border crossing points would further facilitate movement. He appreciated Iran’s positive role in the dispute over occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Hum News, Prime Minister Imran Khan also discussed the situation in Afghanistan during a meeting with Iranian Chief of General Staff Major General Mohammad Baqeri.
