Rural areas of Pune district have been transformed due to Shri Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj and Shri Sant Tukaram Maharaj Palki celebrations. In view of the change in traffic, alternate routes should be used, appealed by Collector Dr. Rajesh Deshmukh.
Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Palki will go through the border of the district to Pandharpur via Pune-Saswad-Lonand. Sant Tukaram Maharaj Palki will go from Pune to Solapur via Roti Ghat, Baramati, Indapur, Pandharpur via Akluj. Due to these two palanquin celebrations, there has been a change in the traffic on this route. From 24th June to 28th June for Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Palki Celebrations and from 24th June to 5th July for Shri Sant Tukaram Maharaj Palkhi Celebrations. Deshmukh has given. He has also issued traffic regulation orders for this period.
Traffic Change in Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Palkhi Marg
Pune to Saswad (Saswad Pravas): Dive Ghat and Bopdev Ghat via Saswad from Pune will remain completely closed till 8 pm on 26th June. This transport will continue via Khadi Machine Chowk-Katraj-Kapoorhole. All the traffic coming from Saswad side will reach Pune via Garade-Khed Shivpur.
Saswad se Jejuri (Jejuri Mukkam); Also Jejuri to Valhe (Valhe Stay): Pune to Saswad-Jejuri-Valhe-Nira between 26 and 27 June; Also, vehicles going from Nira to Pune should use the Zendewadi-Pargaon Memane-Supe-Morgaon-Nira route.

Valhe to Lonand (Lonand Mukkam): Pune to Saswad-Jejuri-Valhe-Nair from 11 PM on 27 June to 4 PM on 28 June; Vehicles traveling from Neera to Pune should use the Saswad-Jejuri-Morgaon alternate route.
