Two buses collided head-on at Howrah Bridge. The accident took place around 9:30 am on Thursday during office hours. Several passengers, including the bus driver, were injured in the accident. The passengers complained that the incident took place while they were arguing. The driver was stuck in the bus. The bus gate was broken and the driver was rescued. Several injured passengers were brought to Howrah District Hospital for treatment.

The bus was coming from Sealdah to Howrah. On the other hand, another bus was going from Bakultala in Howrah to Dharmatala. The accident took place near Pillar No. 6 of the bridge towards Kolkata. With the help of the police, it was possible to rescue the driver quickly and save his life.
