Australian authorities arrest Djokovic again

Sydney: Immigration authorities in Australia have detained the Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic, the number one in the world, in Melbourne, for the second time that the player has been detained since his arrival in Australia.

This came, according to the Australian News Agency (AIB), on Saturday.

Although Djokovic’s visa was revoked for the second time on Friday, he was not detained until he finished an interview with immigration officials today.

Djokovic left his lawyer’s office shortly before 3 pm, Australian time, according to the Australian News Agency.

And the agency indicated that Djokovic, who is said to have not received a vaccine against the emerging coronavirus, is likely to be detained by immigration authorities overnight, ahead of a hearing scheduled before the Federal Court in Melbourne on Sunday.
