Involved in doubling money, then falsely impersonated police, fraud case registered against four accused
Chhindwara/Parasia. The police busted the gang after a scam involving a woman to double her money was unearthed under Chandameta police station’s Badkuhi post. Talked about doubling the woman’s 60,000 rupees, during which the gang introduced fake policemen. Later, when the woman came to know that she had been cheated, she lodged a complaint with the Badkuhi Chowki police. Badkuhi police station in-charge Mukesh Dwivedi said the accused, Badkuhi, a resident of Kedarnath Banwanshi, and his accomplice Bunty alias Kamlesh Hare had extorted Rs 60,000 from the woman by inducing her to double the money, which was found in a car-like box filled with bottles. and while the money was being collected and doubled from the clothes, two persons in khakis, posing as fake policemen, threatened them and took away the money and the said material. Two days later, when the woman realized that she had been duped, she reached the Badkuhi post on February 10 to file a complaint. The police have initiated a case under articles 420, 170, 171, 120B, 506. Outpost Chief SI Mukesh Dwivedi immediately swung into action with his team and started an investigation. Police arrested the main leader of the gang, Kedarnath (63), father of Nokhelal Banwanshi, resident of Ward 13, Badkuhi, and recovered cash and a box-shaped box from him. Bunty alias Kamlesh (38) father Ramesh Khare, Shubham (21) father Bihari Sarsam, Rakesh (28) father Lakhanlal Nagwanshi, all residents of Badkuhi involved in this scam were arrested from whom police also seized two police uniforms. In relation to the main leader of this criminal group, Kedarnath Banwanshi, cases of fraud have been registered in many police stations. Cases of doubling of money have also been observed. SDOP Jitendra Jat, Chandameta TI Arun Marskole, Badkuhi Outpost Chief SI Mukesh Dwivedi, SI Chetan Marskole, ASI Ramvilas Tiwari, Ashok Yadav, Head Constable Jaiprakash Sareyam were involved in arresting this gang. The police chief announced the awarding of the team.
