Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal has arrived to meet the Prime Minister.
Sources said that Jam Kamal would inform the Prime Minister about the no-confidence motion against him in the Balochistan Assembly and the political crisis in the province.
Talking to reporters in Parliament House, he said that his party presidency is still intact. I have not made any official resignation.
The Balochistan Chief Minister claimed that many angry members were with him. He said that a decision on convening the meeting would be taken in a meeting with the Prime Minister.
He had earlier met the Chief Election Commissioner. He has submitted the application in a meeting with the Chief Election Commissioner. As long as he is present as the party president, no one can become the acting president of the party.
Jam Kamal said it was surprising that no official action was taken, on the contrary, the party was made acting president. There is no place for acting president in Balochistan Awami Party.
We have an executive committee to decide on this. A council meeting has to be convened which nominates a party to the post. “Our position is strong,” he said.
