Over 100,000 music fans will descend on Stockwood Park from May 24-26 for the weekend festival.
Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Luton is set to be bigger than ever as four enlarged stages run over three days.
The stages will be Radio 1 Main Stage, Radio 1’s Future Sounds, Radio 1 Dance and BBC Introducing.
Radio 1’s Big Weekend 2024 takes place in Luton
The Big Weekend sees over 100 acts, from the world’s biggest acts to new and emerging artists.
Announcing the big news, Radio 1 Breakfast presenter Greg James said: “Radio 1’s Big Weekend is our favorite time of year and we love taking it to a new location every year. This year Luton’s full Radio It’s your turn to experience treatment 1. It’s really a simple mission: we want everyone who comes along to have the best time possible.”
BBC Radio 1 said they are working closely with Luton Council to ensure the Big Weekend 2024 is a safe and secure environment for everyone attending the festival.

Cllr Hazel Simmons MBE, Leader of Luton Council, said: “It’s great news for our town, and especially for our young people, that BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend Luton has been chosen by one of the biggest and most popular music festivals in the UK. Showcase all that is great about Luton.
“This event will not only provide multi-million pounds to Luton’s economy, but with tens of thousands of participants and millions of people watching across the BBC, it will provide a range of opportunities for local young people and businesses, enabling us to step forward ying and showcase the best of our ambitious, incredibly vibrant, incredibly diverse and changing city.
Details of the line-up and tickets will be announced in the coming months, and BBC Radio 1 will be broadcasting live over the weekend.
