News Updates.
The INDI alliance, which came on the back foot due to statements against Sanatan, has canceled the Bhopal rally to be held in the coming days. This announcement has been made by former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath. Earlier, it had emerged from the INDI alliance meeting that a rally will be organized against the BJP government in Bhopal, the capital of the electoral state of Madhya Pradesh, where many major opposition leaders will participate.
This rally was to be organized in the first week of October, the preparations for it had started but now Kamal Nath has announced that it is cancelled. Kamal Nath said, “The rally has been cancelled.” The biggest reason for canceling this rally is believed to be the statements made by the leaders of DMK and RJD, the constituent parties of the INDI alliance, about Sanatan.
It seems that Kamal Nath has realized the damage caused by statements similar to Sanatan in dengue and malaria, hence he now avoids these statements. While giving a statement in a recent program organized by English news channel ‘India Today’ Kamal Nath said, “They all know that our country belongs to Sanatan Dharma, Sanatan Dharma says to keep everyone together, no matter what anyone or DMK says. Continue say anything. There is no need for opinions on this.”
Before the Lok Sabha elections, elections will be held in three major states of the country – Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh, which will be the first test for the INDI alliance. With this in mind, Bhopal was chosen for the first meeting, but in the meantime, due to the rhetoric of Sanatan, the opposition parties have had to change this policy.
When this meeting was called off, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said, “The people of the country and Madhya Pradesh are angry because of the insult they have shown to Sanatan Dharma, they were afraid that that anger would be expressed somewhere. If that happened, it was canceled alliance’s rally in MP.”
After being canceled in Bhopal, there are now possibilities to organize this rally in Nagpur. However, nothing is clear on this subject. Congress leader and Madhya Pradesh in-charge Randeep Singh Surjewala has said that now the decision for the next rally will be taken in a meeting with Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge.
