Shortage of DAP fertilizer has started in Bhind. On Monday evening, an Eicher gallop loaded with 280 bags of DAP fertilizer was caught while being transported illegally. This action was taken on the instructions of Bhind Collector Sanjeev Kumar Srivaswat. Illegal transportation of fertilizers was done in consultation with the responsible warehouse and DMO.
During the night, Bhind Collector Shrivastava received information that DAP fertilizer was being transported from an Eicher center bearing number MP 07 GA 9927 at Indira Gandhi Square in front of Kotwali town. On this information the Bhind Collector led to the officials of the Department of Agriculture. Here officials at the Department of Agriculture stopped the vehicle. It was loaded with 280 bags of DAP fertilizer. When the officials asked for the fertilizer documents, they could not provide them.
When the agriculture officers asked the driver about transportation of the fertilizer bag, he said that he would take it from the warehouse in Jamna to Surpura with the consent of the warehouse in charge and the DMO. Agriculture officials immediately informed the Collector about this whole matter. After this, steps were taken to impound the vehicle loaded with fertilizer. After this, show cause notices were also issued to warehouse manager and DMO and other responsible persons.
In this whole issue Deputy Director Agriculture Ramsujan Sharma has said that the distribution from DMO warehouse was stopped, after that at 8 pm in the night the responsible warehouse could join and take the fertilizer from DMO warehouse. Collector Shri Sanjeev Kumar Srivastava directed the Deputy Director of Agriculture to take action against the warehouse responsible and issue a notice to DMO Markfed Amit Gupta and to take strict action against those doing illegal business in fertilizers.
