“The driver also tested positive for cannabis. Both the driver and passenger were arrested for possession with intent to supply and awaiting interview.”

It comes as police step up patrols in Bolton to prevent crime.

Bolton news:

Just a week ago, officers on patrol stopped a car that was speeding twice on the same day and on the same road.

In a tweet, a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “Patrols are coming out and talking about enforcing speed limits around GMP.

“You know you’re having a bad day when you get caught speeding twice in the same day on the same road.

“It’s 30 miles an hour for a reason.”
