According to details, Member National Assembly Ehsanullah Towana called on Prime Minister Imran and discussed issues related to the constituency and ongoing development projects.

Earlier, a high-level meeting on mineral development framework was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Imran Khan in which Imran Khan had said that the mineral sector has great potential and could contribute to the overall economic growth of the country.

Briefing the meeting, the Secretary Petroleum said that currently the minerals sector contributes less than 1% to the GDP, the implementation of the strategic plan will increase the share of minerals to 10% of GDP in the next 15 years. The plan includes coordination in federal and provincial efforts, technical access, database development, financial incentives, local human resource training and legal framework.
