New Delhi. According to morning headlines, 8 people died in a serious road accident in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday. It is reported that this accident took place in Chatra of Kishtwar district where the car flew into a ditch. After this incident, the Jammu and Kashmir Police reached the spot and started a rescue operation.

At the same time, three injured people were taken to the Chatru Primary Care Center in critical condition. Rescue operations are ongoing at the site. According to officials, 5 people died on the spot, 3 more died of their injuries on the way to the hospital. According to him, three others were taken to the hospital in serious condition.

Regarding the incident, the official said that an SUV carrying passengers from Chingam to Chatra met with an accident near Bonda village around 3.15 pm. He also said that a rescue team, including the police, Rashtriya Rifles and local residents, reached the spot soon after the car fell into a gorge near the mountain road. In this regard, Devansh Yadav of Kishtwar district said that 8 people were killed, including a little girl, and 3 were injured. The medical team provides assistance to the injured. We will provide the necessary compensation.

Now Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also expressed his condolences over the incident, he tweeted, “I am saddened by the Kishtwar accident. My condolences to the families of the victims. I wish the victims a speedy recovery. 2 lacs each will be given by PMNRF to the next of kin of each deceased. 50,000 rupees will be given to the victims.”
