Jaipur, Sep 10 (Language) The case of alleged kidnapping and gang-rape of a woman in Rajasthan’s Bhilwara district on Saturday night turned out to be false. The police made the announcement on Sunday

Police said the 25-year-old woman had volunteered to have sex with two men and an argument broke out when they insisted she stay the night.

According to the police, the woman wanted to go home but the two men pressured her to stay, after which she came out of the house in a naked state and sought help from a passerby.

A police official said the woman initially fabricated a story that two men had kidnapped her and taken her to an isolated house, gang-raped her, beaten her and stripped her of her clothes.

“The woman feared that if her husband found out about this, he would leave her,” the police said. That’s why he told a made-up story.

He said that when both the accused were taken into custody and interrogated, it also emerged from the mobile phone call recording that the woman had spoken to the accused on Saturday night and agreed to come along after taking money.

He said that the woman met Chhotu Sargara and Girdhari on Saturday night and both had sex with her in an empty house.

According to police, the woman, who hails from Odisha, was married to a 50-year-old disabled man from Bhilwara through an intermediary six years ago.
