New Delhi: After a gap of 130 days, India recorded more than 18,000 new corona virus infections in a single day, bringing the number of COVID-19s to 4,34,52,164, according to data from the Union Ministry of Health on Thursday.

After 122 days, the active cases again crossed one lakh.

A total of 18,819 new coward cases were reported during the 24 hours, while the death toll rose to 5,25,116 with 39 new deaths, the data was updated at 8am.

The ministry said that the number of active cases increased to 1,04,555 which is 0.24% of the total infection, while the recovery rate from National COVID-19 was recorded at 98.55%.

The active COVID-19 case load recorded an increase of 4,953 cases in 24 hours.

According to the ministry, the daily positivity rate was 4.16% and the weekly positivity rate was 3.72%.

The number of people recovering from the disease has risen to 4,28,22,493, while the death rate was 1.21 percent.

According to the ministry, 197.61 crore doses of COVID vaccine have been distributed in the country so far under the nationwide COVID-19 vaccination campaign.

The number of COVID-19s in India exceeded 2 million on August 7, 2020, 3 million on August 23, 4 million on September 5 and 5 million on September 16. It had crossed 6 million on September 28 and 7 million on October 11. 8 million on October 29, 9 million on November 20 and 10 million on December 19. The country crossed the 20 million mark on May 4, 30 million on June 23 last year and 40 million on January 25 last year. this year.
