The federal government is delaying new emissions standards on petrol and diesel for another year, but by 2030 the oil and gas sector is demanding big cuts in fuel emissions.

The Cabinet last week approved the final terms for the long-awaited clean fuel standard, which were obtained by the Canadian Press today, although the government did not intend to release them until July 6.
