Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan reached the Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain on Monday with his wife Sadhna Singh and son Kunal Chauhan. The CM along with his family worshiped Mahakal for 40 minutes in the sanctum sanctorum and Nandi Hall. Thanked Mahakal for the rain.
The CM said, ‘Last Monday, when Mahakal came to Maharaj for shelter, there was a famine emergency in the state. Due to lack of water, crops began to dry up. The peasants’ faces were withered. It was a huge crisis. Then he prayed for rain at Mahakal Maharaj’s feet. Prayers offered with a true heart are accepted. I have come again to pay obeisance to Mahakaal’s feet. It is my prayer that everyone will be happy, healthy, everyone will have prosperity and well-being.
Earlier today, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant also had darshan of Mahakal. He also participated in the Bhasma Aarti. Former Karnataka Chief Minister and senior BJP leader BS Yediyurappa also offered prayers at the Mahakal Temple in Ujjain. At the G-20 summit, he said: ‘The whole world is praising Prime Minister Modi. Important leaders from all over the world came to this summit. I want to congratulate PM Modi on behalf of the entire country.

The CM reached Ujjain for the third consecutive Monday. Earlier he had visited Sapatnik on 28th August, then on 4th September and now on 11th September he reached Mahakal Temple in Ujjain. When the Chief Minister reached the Mahakal temple on September 4, he along with 66 priests worshiped and prayed to the Mahakal for rain. He came again today after his wish was granted. He said, ‘As soon as the wish for rain has been fulfilled, we have come to thank Mahakal.’
On the statement of Tamil Nadu CM’s son Udhayanidhi Stalin, he said, ‘There were those who pointed fingers at Sanatan Dharma earlier, but could not destroy Sanatan. No one should insult Sanatan. This will not be tolerated.

Donors gave Rs 51 lakh to the CM. gave a check for
Gopal Dwivedi, Anil Bhandari, Nitesh Hedpara of Mumbai-based construction company Spain Venture, Mehta of Narpad, Naveen Patil, RK Shetty donated Rs 51 lakh to the Mahakal Temple Committee for the newly built devotee’s residence. The amount was given by check.
