Corona active cases in Gujarat surpass 1 lakh in 20 days, number of patients on ventilator increased by 243%

Corona cases are on the rise in the state. Corona’s case has crossed 1 lakh for the first time today, January 20. The situation in the state is deteriorating in the wake of Corona. In Gujarat, the number of active cases has crossed 1 lakh for the second time.

Earlier in the second wave, more than 1 lakh active cases were reported on April 23, which increased to 1 lakh 48 thousand 472 on May 4, i.e. the peak of Corona came in just 11 days. While the most active case in the first wave was 16 thousand 385 on October 7, 2020. As on December 26, 2021, there were 948 active cases in the state. The state had 50612 active cases on January 13, of which 64 patients were on ventilator and 50548 patients were in stable condition. It reached 104888 on January 20 in just 7 days. The number of patients on ventilators also increased to 156, an increase of 243 per cent, while the condition of 104732 patients is currently stable.

As of December 26, 2021, there were 948 active cases in the state, i.e. less than 1000 corona patients, out of which only 10 patients were on ventilator and 938 patients were stable. Following this, the number of active cases increased from 3 thousand to 3927 on January 1, at which time 11 patients were on ventilator. Since then, the number of active cases has been steadily increasing. At the same time, the active case also crossed the 3 thousand mark and reached 3927 directly. At that time 11 patients were on ventilator and 3916 patients were stable. Out of 4753 active cases on January 2, 4747 patients were stable and 6 patients were on ventilator. As of January 3, out of 5858 active cases, 16 patients were on ventilator and 5842 patients were in stable condition. Out of 7881 active cases on January 4, 7863 patients had stable condition and 18 patients needed ventilator.

Out of 10994 active cases on January 5, 10962 patients were in stable condition and 32 patients had to be kept on ventilator. On January 6, there were 14346 active cases in Gujarat out of which 29 patients required ventilator. There were 18583 active cases on January 7, of which 19 patients were placed on a ventilator, an increase of 4,000 in 24 hours. From January 6 to 12, the number of active cases in the state increased by 3-4 thousand per day. As a result, the number of active cases rose to 43,726 by Jan. 12, when 51 patients needed a ventilator.
