Special Representative, Mumbai: Seeing the rebellion of Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde and the growing support he is getting from MLAs, Shiv Sena has now intensified its meetings to save the party from further damage. Especially in view of the Mumbai Municipal Corporation elections, the responsibility of keeping the office bearers and supporters with him has now been put on the shoulders of the head of the department. According to sources, inter-departmental meetings have started in different parts of Mumbai from Thursday.

Shiv Sena leader and Urban Development Minister Eknath Shinde has revolted. He has the support of more than 35 MLAs so far. Many Shiv Sena MLAs from Mumbai have reached Guwahati supporting him. These include Yamini Jadhav, Sada Sarvankar, Mangesh Kudalkar and Prakash Surve. Shivsena dominates all these seats. Hence, Shiv Sena is working hard from now on to ensure that this constituency does not get affected in the Mumbai Municipal Corporation elections.

During the day on Thursday, Shiv Sena MPs had organized a meeting of all office bearers and branch heads of Dadar and Mahim divisions. In this meeting, all the office bearers have been instructed to prevent the loss of the party. The second-in-command of the party has been directed to formulate a strategy to sustain the party. It is learned that he has been warned that he will not take any concrete action until an order is given by the party.

Meanwhile, sources said that meetings of department heads were held in other assembly constituencies of Mumbai today, Friday. Heads of departments, heads of sub-divisions, heads of branches, heads of sub-branches, office bearers of Yuva Sena and women officers have been instructed to participate in all these meetings. It is learned that in these meetings, Shinde supporters and office bearers will be directed to remain with the party. Hence these meetings are now attracting the attention of political analysts as well.
