ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has reserved its judgment on the contempt of court petition against Maryam Nawaz and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on the charge of scandalizing the judiciary.

On Friday, Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court Athar Minallah reserved judgment. The petitioners are local lawyers. Petitioner’s counsel has taken a position in the court that the remarks made against former Chief Justice Saqib Nisar at the PML-N press conference on November 24 are inappropriate and contempt of court.

The Chief Justice remarked that even a self-aggrieved person can claim respect. The Chief Justice further remarked that a retired man is not insulted even if he is the retiring Chief Justice.

Petitioner’s counsel told the court that he also has the case of Ansar Abbasi Walashukaznots. The Chief Justice remarked that it was a separate case and should not be associated with it. The first is that judges are open-minded about criticism and judges are in a very high position. Criticism should be welcomed.

In her press conference on November 24, Maryam Nawaz called Leak Audio a charge sheet against Saqib Nisar and demanded that the entire speech be brought to light. The league’s legal team is watching the speech.

He said that when a person like General Faiz hides under the guise of an institution, he defames the institution. Similarly, when a person like Saqib Nisar does something, it causes disrepute of the institution. Don’t carry the burden because people like Saqib Nisar harmed the judiciary.

He said that if Justice Shaukat Aziz has made any allegation in which he has confessed then is that video also false. After the testimony of Shaukat Aziz, Arshad Malik who had convicted Nawaz Sharif, the video which was released at that time is in front of the people.

Maryam Nawaz also said that Nawaz Sharif was expelled for speaking the truth and Justice Khosa had said at the time that the verdict was a black mark on the face of the judiciary. Is.
