The Justice and Development Party invited one of its three candidates, who won the House of Councilors elections on the 5th of this October polling day, to submit their resignation from the council’s membership in accordance with the legal procedure in force, on the pretext that these seats are not worthy, because the votes they obtained “exceed significantly, strangely, and not.” Acceptable votes that belong to the Justice and Development Party or that may accrue to it through its coordination with the Progress and Socialism Party locally, and are not commensurate with the results announced in the September 8 poll, on which the party had previously expressed its position, and the General Secretariat deplores the unacceptable practices in this context. Which led to the party’s candidate lists obtaining that number of votes.”
The statement also indicated that the party took this position as a contribution to fortifying democracy and preserving the credibility of political work in our country.
From the first reading, it appears that this party is democratic, and it seeks to be a model in that, and it succeeded in this matter to the extent that even some leftists were surprised by the content of this statement and raised their hat to the party. There are even among these leftists who considered this a lesson in democracy, but the matter Not so. The statement bears many inaccuracies, on top of that questioning the integrity of those elections, which means hitting all the efforts that took place in this regard in our country, and so that it seems to be in defense of democracy. He refused the parliamentary seat, considering it a forged seat, and the truth is there is no room for comparison between the two events, because the two contexts are completely different, and there is no similarity between them. Interior wheels, as for what happened on the fifth of this month, it is completely different in everything, and if the party confirms that the results obtained are not worthy, then it must be clear about that with itself first and then with the citizens and tell the whole truth, which is that other parties voted The three candidates were either against in their parties for personal purposes, or they voted for the people and not for the Justice and Development Party, as was expressed by one of those, Saeed Shaker, from the Taounate region, by refusing to resign at the request of his party, according to what was stated by: Saeed Shaker, winner of the House of Councilors for The Justice and Development Party refuses to submit its resignation from the House of Councilors, and declares to “Al-Youm 24” website that the General Secretariat of the Justice and Development Party did not listen to it to know the truth about the great votes it obtained, which came as a reward from some of the parties to which the party provided services in other regions. This vote was also explained by the fact that the members voted for him as a person and as a national framework that would serve the country, and they did not vote for justice and development.
Perhaps what clarifies what we have gone to, that is, that the party does not mean democracy and its preservation, as much as it goes to striking it, is what was stated in an unsigned editorial in which its editor (or editors) spoke about the possibility of the protests returning to the street: “The most important of those who believe that the arc that opened In this dynamic country, it has been closed tightly and forever.” And we do not forget the statements of some of the leaders of this party on the day of the party’s general secretariat meeting immediately after the announcement of the final results on the eighth of September, when everyone was shocked and surprised by the disastrous result that no one was waiting for, even the most pessimistic of them!
We all know that the parties that use religion in politics, do not recognize democracy, and do not serve their people as much as they serve other agendas that have nothing to do with peoples and countries. The country is in debt, and it has pursued a policy of impoverishing the vulnerable groups and even the middle class, while enabling its affiliates to get unjustified enrichment with the recognition of their elders, who acquired a huge pension to which he never contributed!
Today, Morocco needs, more than ever, to rebuild a strong and coherent left, to stand up to all those who believe that they are capable of touching what our country has achieved in the democratic field, especially since those who are stalking it are waiting for the opportunity and are ready to provide all assistance for what the enemies of democracy in our country seek. All honest and honest democrats must unite and leave marginal differences and cohesion and bloc for the sake of the country, especially the Socialist Union of Popular Forces and the Progress and Socialism Party, just as the Independence Party, with its presence in the current government, must be an eye keen on the interest of the country, and not turn into an administrative party, sponsoring Narrow interests before the major interests of the nation, all the weak groups today place their hopes on the Independence Party, and they realize that the interest of the country today requires it. On his shoulder, he performs full honesty.
