Lucknow: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader from Muzaffarnagar district Arshad Rana has accused the party of grabbing Rs 67 lakh in the name of ticket amid the rising political heat of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. Arshad Rana has made this allegation against Shamsuddin Raine, in-charge of Western Uttar Pradesh of his own party. He has also complained to the Muzaffarnagar police in this regard. Now a video of Arshad Rana crying bitterly is going viral on social media.

According to the information, the viral video is of Kotwali Nagar in Muzaffarnagar district. Describing himself as a victim, Arshad Rana wept bitterly in front of Inspector Anand Dev. In the viral video, he is saying that, ‘He made me a spectacle. I had never even thought so. They make me sit inside and say that we are bringing someone else to contest in your place. Whereas, I am doing all the ad hoardings. Even after that these people are doing this to me. In the video, police officers are asking them not to be disturbed. Arshad Rana has also posted a YouTube video on his Facebook account. In this video, he claims that the accused Shamsuddin is announcing his name as the in-charge of the Raine assembly.

Arshad Rana says that, ‘In December 2018, I was assured by BSP’s Western Uttar Pradesh in-charge Shamshuddin Raine to make a candidate from Charthaval assembly seat. In return I was asked for some money, to which I agreed. After this, in the presence of several office bearers in the party office located in Muzaffarnagar this month, I was also declared a candidate to contest the 2022 assembly elections. People from different parties cheated me Rs 67 lakh at different times. Even after this, Salman Saeed was declared the candidate from Charthawal assembly seat.
