“Son, see if Naima Hasrat has cast her vote or not?” As soon as Hasrat Chacha came out after casting his vote, he asked the slip agent.

” Uncle John! She’s been gone for a while now. ”The boy replied, looking at the list.

“It means I missed the meeting again.” “What happened, Uncle John?” The boy with the slip looked at him and asked.

“Hey, son, it’s been 15 years since he died. There is no meeting except election. Because she comes to vote every time, but every time I am late. ”He gave a detailed answer while expressing his pain.

The electronic voting machine, abbreviated as EVM, is a great attempt to eliminate this type of voting. We would never have felt the need for EVMs if our dead had not cast their votes, if our ballot boxes had not already been filled. If those who altered the results by putting pressure on the election staff were made a symbol. If our institutions were working in the right direction or if they were allowed to work etc.

In fact, our system is completely stinking. It is so rotten that the whole system needs to be changed. Someone has said, “Change the system, not the face.” But those responsible for the change have blood on their faces. They feel their survival in this system. Therefore, they thwart any attempt at accuracy.

In the past, Pervez Musharraf has tried to fix this system. You will recall that before Pervez Musharraf, the country’s highest body, the Parliament, consisted of middle and matric pass people. The chancellors of our universities used to be middle pass, that is, our governors were under matric. Imagine for a second you were transposed into the karmic driven world of Earl. Pervez Musharraf brought the condition of BA for the MPs and then the tragedy of the degree is in front of you all. It was even said that degree is degree, be it real or fake. This law was later repealed by the incoming government.

The sad thing is that our politicians are ready to do anything for their power. For these people, human beings have no status, so what is EVM? These people are so ruthless that they cross all the boundaries to avoid defeat in intra-party elections. If EVMs stand in their way in national elections, what will they do? You have the example of intra-party elections of PTI when the ballot boxes were lifted.

There is a need for the PTI government to ensure transparency of elections through EVMs as well as persuade all parties. Otherwise, even after spending billions of rupees earned from the blood and sweat of the nation, the noise of rigging could be heard. If that happened then the exercise would be futile. In addition, legislation should be enacted by Parliament so that the incoming government cannot invalidate the EVM bill.

And last but not least, the PTI government should keep in mind Asif Ali Zardari’s prediction that the EVM seed will not bear fruit as well as the success of the EVM. Zardari is one of those people who speaks very thoughtfully. If his prediction proves to be true, let it not happen that tomorrow PTI itself will be against this machine. Just like these days they look angry with their own appointed Chief Election Commissioner.
