Noor Fatihi appears before investigating authorities in Rs 200 crore embezzlement case

The New Delhi Enforcement Directorate has also summoned Canadian-born actress Nora Fatehi in a Rs 200 crore fraud and extortion case. Nora has been questioned today.

Actress Lena Pal, wife of two accused Chandra Shekhar and Ranka, has already been arrested in the case.

According to a tweet from the Indian news agency ANI, Nora was summoned by the investigating officers of the law enforcement agency Enforcement Directorate and was seen outside the ED’s office. The tweet also includes video clips of Nora’s arrival.

The actress reached the ED office this morning to join the investigation.

According to NDTV, Noora Fatihi was summoned for questioning regarding her alleged affair with Shekhar and his wife.

It is reported that besides Nora, actress Jacqueline Fernandez will also appear before the ED authorities.

The news of Nora’s appearance before the investigating authorities added the name of the actress to the Twittertop trend and users made various comments in this regard.

Indian media say that Nora and Jacqueline also suffered financial loss at the hands of Chandra Shekhar. The accused and his wife were arrested on a complaint by a woman named Aditi Singh who claimed, ‘My husband Swayander Singh was arrested in a case when a man became a senior law ministry official and called me and demanded money. Assured the husband of his release on bail.

Aditi had said that since June 2020, she has paid Rs 200 crore to Chandra Shekhar in 30 installments and was told that the money would be deposited in the funds of the ruling BJP.

Chandra Shekhar’s wife Lena Maria Paul was a dentist before she started acting and practiced in Bangalore. In 2009, Lena debuted in the Malayalam film Red Chillies.
