The festival of Shri Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated with pomp and circumstance in Vidisha district. As soon as 12 o’clock at night Lord Krishna’s praise echoed in the temples. Much enthusiasm was seen among devotees regarding the birthday of Lord Shri Krishna.

Special preparations have been made for Shri Krishna Janmashtami, attractive electrical decorations have been made in the temples. Religious events were organized in the temples regarding this, where the devotees participated in large numbers. During this period the congratulatory songs continued in the temples.

Religious programs were organized in the city’s Ramakrishna Temple at Madhavganj, Shri Krishna Temple at Agarwal Dharamshala, Old Vyankatesh Balaji Temple at Kartik Chowk and Radhakrishna Temple at Ramlila Square.
