Female Patwaris applied henna to their hands. Expressed protest and reiterated demand for grade 2800, pen strike continues for 10 days | Pro IQRA News

For the last 10 days, for their five point demands, the women workers involved in Patwari’s strike for their five point demands organized a unique protest today. They have demanded that the government fulfill their demand by applying henna on their hands.

The women Patwaris sitting at the protest site near the Collectorate soaked henna here and applied henna on each other with slogans written in support of their demands. Patwari pay scale requires paying grade 2800. They have started a pen strike by handing over their bags from August 28 last year.

Tell that 19 thousand patwaris are on strike across the state.

This is the demand of the Patwaris

1. Patwari should be given grade 2800 at par with Revenue Inspector by introducing equal pay for equal work.

2. Hourly pay should be given in relation to the position.

3. The vacant posts of Revenue Inspector should be filled by promoting Patwaris.

4. House Rent Allowance (fixed percentage of pay as per other employees), Extra Light Allowance (Rs 10,000), Traveling Allowance (Rs 3,000), Work Allowance in Other Departments (Rs 5,000), Mobile and Data Allowance (Rs 1,000) and office allowance (Rs 2000) should be given.

5. Patwaris should be provided with resources (mobile and ETS machines, rover machines) for their work.
