Fire breaks out in main branch of SBI in Buxar.
An atmosphere of chaos prevailed after a fire broke out in the main branch of SBI located at Buxar district headquarters. Large flames of fire started emanating from the main branch of SBI. This caused a stir among the people around. People started getting attacked. At the same time, information was given to the city police station by someone. In such a situation, the city police and fire brigade reached the spot in a hurry. An attempt was made to put out the fire. After hard work, the fire was brought under control. But after branching everything inside was burnt to ashes. This information was also given to the senior officials of the bank.
The incident happened on Saturday morning at 3 am. Due to the fire in the main branch, all the papers including furniture, computers inside the bank have been burnt to ashes. The cause of the fire is said to be short circuit. It was told by the eyewitnesses that due to the festival of Makar Sankranti, people around the world were busy preparing for bathing in the Ganges this morning. When people came out of the house after seeing the flames and the sound of firecrackers coming out of the house, then huge flames were coming out of the windows and skylights of the SBI bank nearby.
On which information was given to the police administration including the top officials of the bank. Efforts were made to douse the fire by the fire brigade that reached the spot. However, efforts are on to douse the fire inside the office. It was told by the bank employees that everything inside the bank has been burnt to ashes. However, the locker survived.
Branch Manager Tarun Kumar Mishra said that computers, note counting machines, furniture and other equipments etc. have been burnt in this fire, but no damage has been done to any kind of public documents or lockers etc. Apart from this, the computers have all been burnt, but the data is all safe.
