Ganeshotsav: Jhabua king’s silver charan paduka was brought as procession
‘King of Jhabua’ seated in Kasturba Marg with musical instruments, entire city immersed in devotion
Jhabua. Ganeshotsav started on Tuesday. Since morning, crowds have thronged the shops to buy Ganpati Bappa’s idol. The procession started from 9 o’clock in the morning. Amid the chanting and chanting of Ganpati Bappa Morya, the devotees took the deity to the throne with great fanfare. Groups of youngsters dancing and singing to the tunes of the DJ doubled the joy. The processions continued to take place amid the echo of slogans from every street and locality. The main attraction was the grand procession on the silver Charan Paduka of the king of Jhabua enthroned at Kasturba Marg. The Kuldeep Saxena family resident of Sukhdev Vihar Colony had availed the year-long service of these Charan Padukas. In the afternoon, members of the Raja group of Jhabua reached the abode of the Lord to fetch the Charan Paduka with musical instruments. The procession started from here. Additional religious songs were played on the tape. Followers were present in the middle. Finally, the beneficiary families rode in the chariot with Charan Paduka. Devotees worshiped Paduka at various places. The procession passed through Rajwada Chowk, Radhakrishna Marg, Babel Square, Azad Chowk and reached Kasturba Marg. After this, Charan Padukas were installed at the feet of the idol of the Lord. The kingdom of Dmjhabua was established on the lines of the king of Lalbagh in Mumbai. The Saxena family also took advantage of this.
The religious ceremony was concluded by Pandit Vishwanath Shukla. After the inauguration, aarti was performed and laddus were offered to the Lord.
