The Glasgow Times previously reported that Shawarma King was once again vying for first place in this year’s British Kebab Awards After obtaining the title for the year 2022.
In a Facebook post last night, the team shared a video from the moment they were crowned winners again at a ceremony in London.

The caption read: “It’s really crazy.
“We are just a small kebab shop, and seeing the response we have had over the past year to our rolls has been amazing.
“We just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who voted for us, supported us and bought food from us, again and again over the past year.
“People were coming from all over the place to try our rolls. London, Inverness, Yorkshire and Preston to name a few.
As always, I thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Elliot Summers, Director of Social Media and Marketing for King Street Shop, told us what makes the best kebab ever after winning last year, he said: “It’s all about freshness and quality ingredients for us.
All the naan bread is made from scratch daily for the wraps and shawarma too.
“For meat, it is covered and deeply marinated for a few days before being put in the oven.
“It takes about two hours to make the shawarma, which they build into a huge tower and then cut into shape.
“Even the sauces are all made from scratch.”
