Government did not contact, Petroleum Dealers Association announced to continue the strike

Petroleum Dealers Association announces nationwide strike

Secretary Information Association Noman Ali Butt said that no contact has been made by the government for talks so far, further reliance on verbal assurances of the government would be a joke.

He said that the closure of petrol pumps across the country would continue till the increase in margins, adding that the government had promised to send a summary on November 3.

He said that the government was falsely claiming to continue supplying oil at petrol pumps.

Will not accept illegitimate demands, Hammad Azhar

On the other hand, Federal Minister for Energy Hamad Azhar has said that PSO petrol pumps are open at a time when more will be opened soon.

In his statement, he said that the updated pumps of the big companies are also open, they are in touch with the dealers association and a summary of legitimate demands has been submitted to the ECC for decision.

He said that the strike of petrol pumps was not due to depletion of money like in the past, the government wanted to keep the price of petrol and diesel to a minimum for the people.
