School children go hungry due to conflicts between groups preparing dinner food. The matter pertains to Satner Gram Panchayat of Aathner Block. More than 25 children in Satner Girls Primary School have not had dinner for the last 3 days. All children come home with empty stomachs.
According to the information, the former group had refused to cook in Satner. After this, the second group was tasked with cooking, but the amount only goes into the old group’s account. Due to which the women in the new group do not get ration on loans. The old group also does not give the amount. This is why the group has stopped preparing snacks.
Previously, the scheme was run through the current Satner Sarpach’s group, but due to the grocer’s high fees being paid to the kitchens that prepared food, food items were not provided. The head of the institution has not yet taken any concrete measures. All children are forced to return home hungry.
Public teacher Sunil Mahale also confirmed this on Saturday and said that the midday program is being run through groups. However, due to the dispute between two groups, food is not being prepared at this time.
