Surat Crime Branch Deputy Superintendent of Police Rupal Solanki said the SHE team was formed by Surat City Police Department. There is a SHE team at every police station in the city.

He said the team organizes many awareness programs. Programs related to good-bad touch program, traffic advisory, cyber awareness, POSCO are conducted in schools. Roopal said an instructor accompanies the SHE team who teaches the children self-defence.
