News Details

There is suspense on the submission of the report on Tuesday in the lower court of Varanasi in the Gyanvapi Masjid case. It is being said that the lawyers may ask the court for some more time to prepare the report and present it.

On the other hand, the Hindu side has claimed that Shivling has been found during the survey in the mosque, while the Muslim side has described it as a fountain.

The lower court of Varanasi, in its decision, had said that the survey would be conducted inside the Gyanvapi mosque and the survey team would have to submit its report to the court by May 17.

After the claim of having found the Shivling, a local court has directed the police and administration to preserve the Shivling and seal the place. There is also a ban on performing Wudu.

Even after the completion of the survey, security arrangements have been kept very tight around the Gyanvapi Masjid and the adjacent Kashi Vishwanath Temple. The administration has sealed the entire area.
