‘Hard-earned peace will be protected at all costs’

The Chief of Army Staff, General Qamar Javed Bajwa, while recalling the countless sacrifices made by the nation to defeat terrorism, reiterated that the peace achieved through hard work would be safeguarded at all costs.

The Army Chief called on the participants of the 8th National Workshop Balochistan at the General Headquarters. The talks are part of a workshop held in Quetta from November 1 to 27, which was attended by people from different walks of life.

According to the Pakistan Army Public Relations (ISPR), the Army Chief remarked that the people of Balochistan have made steady support to the security forces and as a result progress has been made on stabilization and socio-economic development projects in the province.

Linking Pakistan’s prosperity to Balochistan, the Chief of Army Staff said that the nefarious intentions of the enemy forces for peace and stability of Pakistan were being thwarted through a concerted and comprehensive strategy.

The Chief of Army Staff emphasized that the internal and external challenges facing Pakistan demanded a comprehensive national response. He further said that due to effective management of Western Zone, Pakistan was able to remain safe in the midst of crisis situation inside Afghanistan.

“We will continue to ensure our border and internal security, which is essential for national development,” he added.
