The 6-member panel of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, which hears intra-court appeals of civilians in military courts, has been dissolved.

Judge Sardar Tariq Masud led a 6-person court session.

Justice Aminuddin Khan, Muhammad Ali Mazhar, Justice Hasan Azhar Rizvi, Musrat Hilali and Justice Irfan Saadat.

Jawad S. Khawaja’s lawyer objected in the bench.

The lawyer asked to refer to the committee of judges to reassign the judgeship.

Justice Sardar Tariq Masood said that if we don’t see the case, if we don’t provide evidence, objections are being raised against me and I should be removed from the job.

Justice Sardar Tariq recused himself from the bench where the court session was dissolved.

The case was referred to the Referee Committee for reorganization of the judgeship.

According to the information of the Supreme Court, the decision to invalidate trials of civilians in military courts remains suspended.

The Supreme Court said that the inquiry of Salman Akram Roja, Aitzaz Ahsan and Latif Khosa should be heard after the election.
