Environment Canada has released a special weather report for much of southern Ontario, the “first hot event of the season” expected in the coming days.

The Meteorological Agency said “hot and humid weather” is expected from Monday to Tuesday.

“Temperatures in many areas will be close to 30 on Monday,” the report said.

“Monday night temperatures are forecast to drop briefly from mid-teens to mid-teens. However, the maximum temperature on Tuesday is expected to be in the low thirties and in many areas the minimum temperature is forecast to be in the twenties, with little relief from the heat expected.

Cold winds are expected on Wednesday.

The meteorological agency has issued this advice for areas from Barry and the North York region to the London area.

Windsor is under heat warning, with warmer weather expected.
