After hundreds of students fell ill in Eklavya Adarsh Residential School in Rampur under Gorakhpur tehsil, the administration took major action and suspended three people including the principal of the school. This action has been taken on the report submitted by SDM Gorakhpur to the Collector. Jabalpur Collector Saurabh Kumar Suman has suspended Girls Hostel Superintendent Jyoti Bala Golani and Boys Hostel Superintendent Mohan Patel. While the school principal Geeta Sahu was suspended by Commissioner Abhay Verma.
The collector reached the hospital after the children fell ill.
On Monday, more than 100 children living in Eklavya Residential School in Rampur Chhapar fell victim to food poisoning. All the children vomited and some children fainted as well. All the children were rushed to the Medical College, District Hospital and private hospitals. Administrative officials also remained present at the hospital till late evening. Apart from this, former Finance Minister Tarun Bhanot, MLA Vinay Saxena, Mayor Jagat Bahadur Annu and BJP Metropolitan President Prabhat Sahu also remained in the hospital.
The condition of all children who fell ill due to food poisoning improved.
Collector Saurabh Kumar Suman has suspended Jyoti Wala, Superintendent of Eklavya Adarsh Residential School and Mohan Patel, Superintendent of Boys Hostel, Upper Division Teacher. This action has been taken on the report submitted by the team formed under the leadership of SDM Gorakhpur Pankaj Mishra. The school principal Geeta Sahu has been suspended by Commissioner Abhay Verma. According to the administration, the condition of all children is currently out of danger.
