On the evening of Wednesday, October 13, 2021, the Norwegian police announced that a number of people were killed and others were injured by a man who used a bow and arrows in the attacks in the town of Kongsberg, while the motives for this crime are still unknown.
The police chief stated that “the man has been arrested… According to the information available to us now, this person did these acts alone.”
He also added, “A number of people were injured and a number of others were killed,” but he declined to comment on the number of dead and injured.
Police said the attacks were carried out “in a wide area” of the southeastern city of 28,000.
