Bell Schools confront Islamophobia with a new strategy – Al-Ahram Al-Jadeed Canadian newspaper

The Peel District School Board submitted a proposal to adopt a new strategy to combat Islamophobia in schools, in light of the spread of crimes and targeting of Muslims.

The proposal included mandatory training for all employees, on anti-Islamophobia in schools, and establishing procedures for regular communication with all sects of Canadian society.

The director of the council, Nokha Dakrub, said that the increase in hate crimes against Muslims had a significant impact on Muslim students, their lack of security, and their belonging to Canadian society.
