Nouakchott – “Al-Quds Al-Arabi”: Mukhtar Ould Dahi, the official spokesman for the Mauritanian government, denied “the fall or loss of any aircraft of the Mauritanian army or Mauritanian Airlines.”
“The airlines and the army did not record the loss of any of their planes, stressing that all of their planes are safe and the location is known,” he said in clarifications about a plane missing two days ago.
Yesterday, military units continued to search for a plane that was said to have crashed near the village of Badr in the Kermsen province, southwest of Mauritania, with the help of the people in order to find it.
Eyewitnesses confirmed, on Wednesday, that they saw a plane engulfed in plumes of smoke, before hearing the sound of its crash on the 65 km north of Rosso.
