Pakistani authorities allow Afghan students to enter Pakistan through Torkham border

Pakistani authorities have allowed Afghan students studying in Pakistan who are currently in Afghanistan to come to Pakistan.

The decision was made by the Pakistani Interior Ministry on the recommendation of the Foreign Ministry to protect such students stranded in Afghanistan from the hassle of education. Such students will be allowed to enter Pakistan through the Torkham border.

Mansoor Ahmad Khan, Pakistan’s ambassador to Afghanistan, wrote on his Twitter account that 938 Afghan students with admission to Pakistani universities and student visas have been allowed to go to Pakistan and continue their studies at the said educational institutions.

In addition, Pakistan’s special envoy to Afghanistan Mohammad Sadiq wrote in his Twitter message that these Afghan students can enter Pakistan through the Torkham border.

“We want a bright future for these students and hope that they will serve their country after completing their education,” Sadiq said.
