The national government created the “More Young Culture” Program, aimed at an age group between 18 and 24 years old, with the “permanent objective of reducing the existing economic gap in access to cultural goods and services” and which consists of in the granting of $ 5,000 to each beneficiary.
The program is aimed at beneficiaries of all levels of the Support Program for Students of Argentina (Progresar) that operates within the orbit of the Ministry of Education of the Nation and holders of the Universal Child Allowance (AUH), under any of its accepted modalities.
Likewise, it includes holders of the Universal Pregnancy Allowance, and beneficiaries of non-contributory disability pensions, provided they are between 18 and 24 years of age.
Those people who are outside the aforementioned age group and are beneficiaries in any of the exceptional modalities of Progresar or have minor children in single-parent homes, transgender people, native peoples, people with disabilities, refugees, among others, may also register. other conditions), which may participate in identical terms and conditions.
The measure was adopted by resolution 1499 of the Minister of Culture, Tristán Bauer, published today in the Official Gazette.
The program grants an amount of $ 5,000 to each beneficiary, which may be used between November 1, 2021 and April 30, 2022 for the consumption of cultural goods and / or services.
To this end, it was resolved that prepaid cards will be issued through the Banco de la Nación with accreditation of the aforementioned amount, which may be operated virtually by the beneficiaries through the virtual application BNA +, or in a physical, through the plastic emitted.
In this case, it is clarified that the cards will be provided with all the security, quality and inviolability measures inherent to their use, adapting to the Central Bank’s standards.
The beneficiaries will be able to use the credit in cinemas, theaters, musical shows, fairs and festivals, accesses and / or online tickets for museums, spaces, centers and / or cultural circuits or corridors, bookstores, record stores, galleries and spaces associated with visual arts, enrollment in courses, seminars, workshops or other training instances linked to culture.
Also for the payment of teaching fees for learning artistic and / or cultural disciplines.
The resolution provides that no management or registration whatsoever will be required by those businesses or providers of services and cultural goods that are enabled within the items related to that activity in front of the intervening payment processors. (Télam)
